WHAT WE DO

The overall goal of GF-Sierra Leone is to enable, enhance, and sustain African women’s right to participation, leadership, and economic empowerment through development, improved educational opportunities and commerce. Therefore, we improve the quality of education for children and ensure that there are learning opportunities being provided for these kids. We provide learning materials and give them a learning experience that aims that positioning them for success.

Our Focus

  • Provide a platform for women across all levels of society to exchange, share, and harmonize strategies for women’s leadership and build coalitions to the economic empowerment and educational opportunities for women in Sierra Leone.
  • Increase the opportunities for girls to have access to quality education, nutrition and adequate clothing to foster the chances of a better future and enhance their potential to better contribute to society’s development through educational research, and better informed skills to maintain decorum at the
domestic levels from a more informed perspective.
  • Promote the twin approach of mainstreaming gender and the need for enhancing the opportunities and therefore potentials for the girl child while at the same time mainstreaming economic empowerment in all gender mechanisms, policies, and institutions.
  • Influence policy development and implementation on women and girls in Africa through rigorous research, strategic advocacy, and documentation.
